The Final of the BRICS Vocational Skills Competition in 2022 Kicked off
The Finals of the
2022 BRICS Vocational Skills Competition and the BRICS Skills Development and
Technology Innovation Competition (Xiamen International Competition) kicked off
at the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center on November 4th,
with the opening ceremony held in the evening. The Finals was held from
November 1st to 6th.
2022 BRICS Skills
Competition is composed of Kick-off and Finals. The Kick-off Competition was successfully
held in March comprised in virtual and offline formats. Over 3500 international
teams from Brazil, Russia, India, South Africa and other countries and more
than 6200 teams from various provinces and cities in China had registered for
the BRICS Skills Competition, with around 20,000 participants in total. After
fierce competition, more than 1,600 teams and nearly 2,500 participants entered
the Finals. The Finals was held through a combination of online participation
by international teams and offline centralized participation by China’s teams.
The Finals focused
on high-end manufacturing, digital economy, new industries, new forms of
businesses, new technology and other key fields, setting up 26 skills items,
including rail vehicle technology, additive manufacturing, and industrial
design technology, etc.
The BRICS Skills
Development and Technology Innovation Competition (Xiamen International Competition)
held in the same period, comprising eight
items such as Internet of Things and its application in smart cities, application
of artificial intelligence engineering technology, and Robotic Process
Automation(RPA), etc.
