China topped the medal table at the 2022 BRICS Vocational Skills Competition and the BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Competition in Xiamen
On the
evening of November 6, the closing ceremony of the 2022 BRICS Vocational Skills
Competition was held at the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition
Center, bringing the competition to a successful ending.
After three days of intense
competition, the winning teams of the final 26 events were finally announced,
and the awards ceremony was held at the closing ceremony. According to statistics, the Chinese team won 79 medals, ranking
first in the medal table; Russia ranked second with 38 medals. India finished
third with 12 medals. South Africa won 10 medals, followed by Brazil with
seven, Ghana with two and Mongolia with one.
In the afternoon, the
closing ceremony of the 2022 BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation
Competition (Xiamen International Competition) was held and awards were
presented to the winners. A total of 201 teams from home and abroad have
registered for the Xiamen International Competition, including 457 participants
from 145 Chinese colleges and public institutions, and 26 international participants
from Russia and South Africa. In the end, the first prize for teams and
individuals went to 12 teams and 8 participants respectively. Among the 8 first
prize winners, Russia and South Africa each have one.
